Circa provides advice on issues relating to management of museum collections including strategic planning, policies, collection relocation, collection development, cataloguing and imaging processes, storage set-up, and digitisation.
From 2008 to 2012, as manager of the Victorian Museum Accreditation Program, Circa's principal consultant provided advice and assistance to museums throughout Victoria, helping them to align their aims and activities with the National Standards for Australian Museums and Galleries. She was also a member of the National Standards Taskforce and continues to evaluate museums as a guest assessor in the Museum Accreditation Program.
In 2016-2017, Circa carried out a major strategic study and report for the City of Greater Bendigo advising on the future of movable heritage collections in the municipality. In 2018, Circa developed a comprehensive Cultural Assets Plan and Policy for Hepburn Shire Council, providing important advice to ensure preservation of its collections and guide future collecting and presentation of assets to the community. In 2020, Circa supplemented a major collections audit for Golden Plains Shire Council with a strategic report to guide future collection management. In 2022, Circa collaborated with Megan Atkins Design to create a complete refurbishment and reconfiguration plan for Benalla Museum, assisting the Museum team to achieve a state government grant of $200,000 to carry out redevelopment works at the Museum.
